The Business Development and Regional Officer, Engr. Asma’u Ahmed of Makera Regional Office, Kaduna, has assured Kudenda Community of provision of adequate power supply and urged them to cooperate in the company’s ongoing enumeration exercise.
She stated this during an engagement forum with the Community leaders. She said the essence of the enumeration exercise is to ensure every consumer of electricity in the community is captured in order to reduce the burden of estimated billing on the paying customers.
“If a particular transformer has 200 registered customers on it and the actual number of consumers on it is 400, the 200 registered customers will shoulder the responsibility of paying for the rest. Hence the need for proper enumeration”.
On his part the Sarkin Kudenda, Mr. Gabriel Galadima, expressed the community’s readiness to support Kaduna Electric to carryout a successful enumeration exercise in the community. He also called on Kaduna Electric to bridge the communication gap between the community and Kaduna Electric to avoid friction with the community.
The meeting which was held at the Palace of Sarkin Kudenda, Mr Gabriel Galadima, had in attendance community and youth leaders, the representatives of Police and State Security Services.
