We sincerely apologize for the prolonged outage in parts of Kaduna metropolis. The intermittent supply in some parts is due to the bad weather conditions that have damaged some of our infrastructure. Our technical teams are working hard to salvage the damaged lines and poles to restore regular supply. The total outage in some parts in the past three days is, however, due to the fallen 132kV transmission tower at Rigasa.
The fallen transmission tower which supplies power to the Power House transmission station otherwise known as Kaduna Town 1 has affected supply to 33KV feeders including; Independence, KRPC, Narayi, PAN, Olam, Arewa Bottlers, UNTL,Anguwan Boro, and all their adjoining 11kV feeders.
We are in close contact with the Transmission Company of Nigeria to monitor the progress of work on the fallen tower and we are also collaborating on measures to ensure restoration of power supply to the affected communities.
We recognize how inconvenient the situation has been to all our valued customers and apologize once again.
