We recognize that a safe and healthy work environment is essential for the well-being of our workforce and the communities we serve. Therefore, we have developed this Health and Safety Policy to guide our operations and foster a culture of safety excellence.
Safety of People, the Planet and our Plants shall be of outmost and paramount importance to us at Kaduna Electric. We shall ensure, so far as is reasonably possible, the provision and maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all personnel and to provide such resources, information, training, and supervision as is needed for these purposes.
Kaduna Electric also understands the linkage existing between us and the environment, relative to the health and safety of other people who may be affected by its activities.
Consequently, Kaduna Electric will comply with the requirements of the Nigerian Electricity Health & Safety Code and all other relevant statutory provisions and recognized codes of practice.
Kaduna Electric expects all employees and contractors working on behalf of the company to cooperate fully in the achievement of this policy. The allocation of responsibilities for Health & Safety matters and the particular arrangements made to implement the policy are set out in the Policy Document (HSE Policy for Kaduna Electric).
Kaduna Electric is pursuing the ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System). This policy statement was adopted by Kaduna Electric in November 2016.
