As part of activities marking this year’s customers service week, Kaduna Electric today donated food items, toiletries, sanitary materials, clothing, breverages, confectioneries and assorted drinks to pupils of Kaduna State Special Education School, Kaduna.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Garba Haruna, FSESN, the Chief Customers Relations Officer of the Company, Engr. Aliyu Abbas Abdullahi disclosed that the gesture is aimed at providing relief and more conducive learning atmosphere to the children with special needs.
According to him, “as a service organization, Kaduna Electric attaches high premium to efficient service delivery and customers satisfaction. Hence, the Company join the global business community every year to celebrate the Customers Service Week to further drive home the campaign”.
He enjoined the school authority to ensure fair and equitable distribution of the items among all the pupils whom he described as “our special children and the hope of a greater Nigeria”.
In his remarks, the Principal of the School, Mr. Bako Tanko Jocks described the gesture as “the best gift received by the School lately”.
“On behalf of all the pupils, the School’s Management and the Government of Kaduna State, we sincerely appreciate your kind hearted and philanthropic gesture; these children will surely remember this day and your company for a very long time to come”, he asserted.
The Kaduna State Special Education School is the only public educational institution that cater for children with special needs such as the deaf and the visually impaired in the State capital.
