As primary and secondary schools resume across the Country, Kaduna Electric has donated learning materials to pupils of some primary schools in Kaduna State as well as Orphanage home.
The first beneficiaries are the LEA Model Primary School, Mando and Al-Ihsan Orphanage all in Kaduna while pupils of LEA Primary School, Barnawa will receive their consignment next week.
Delivering the items on behalf of the Company, Mal. Idris Muhammad of the Corporate Communication Department of Kaduna Electric described the gesture as a fulfilment of the Corporate Social Responsibility policy of the Company.
According to him, “Kaduna Electric has a corporate policy of giving back to the society through it Corporate Social Responsibility programmes”.
He disclosed that Kaduna Electric has, in the last six years, been supporting communities, states and non-state institutions within it franchise in the areas of education, sports, health, relief materials, emergency and disaster management, etc.
In their separate responses, the Head Teacher of LEA Model Primary School, Mando, Hajiya Zuwaira Musa and the Mother of the Home, Al-Ihsan Orphanage, Hajiya Rabi Uwar Marayu thanked the Management of Kaduna Electric for the philanthropic gesture and promised to ensure that the items donated are judiciously distributed and effectively utilised by the pupils and orphans respectively.
Items donated includes exercise books, pens, pencils and sharpeners.
