Kaduna Electric has announced the commencement of an enumeration exercise in Millennium City, Kaduna. The aim of the exercise is to gather an accurate data base of customers and assets to improve overall service delivery.
Kaduna Electric’s Chief Operating Officer, Sadiq Mohammed, said in a statement that the enumeration exercise which starts in Millennium City on Monday, April 29, 2024, shall be scaled to other parts of the company’s franchise states in due course.
He said the exercise is also expected to help improve billing accuracy, better supply of power and ensure prompt response to faults and proper planning for network expansion.
According to the COO, the enumerators will be going house to house in Millennium City requesting customer details. He said customers can leave their electricity bill or vending slip in a location that can be accessible to the enumerators in the event such customers may not be around during the visit.
He said the choice of Millennium City to commence the exercise was because it is a rapidly expanding community with structures springing up regularly. This also informed the recent decision by Kaduna Electric to invest N350 million to procure a 7x5MVA transformer to boost power supply to the community.
He called on customers to give maximum cooperation and support to the enumeration exercise to make it a success.
